Blinn Media Inc. is seeking a diverse group of performers to portray high school students in classroom and school scenes for the live-action mini-series Cell Boy.

These performers will help create a believable, natural high school environment surrounding our principal characters. Extras may be seen seated in classrooms, walking through school areas, interacting naturally with classmates, carrying books or backpacks, taking notes, and reacting appropriately to activity occurring within scenes.

We are looking for individuals who can appear natural and authentic on camera. No previous acting experience is required.

CHARACTER / PERFORMANCE TRAITS
 

Applicants should be:

• Comfortable working on camera

• Able to listen to and follow direction

• Reliable and professional on set

• Comfortable performing natural background actions

• Able to maintain continuity between multiple takes

• Comfortable working as part of a large group
   

SPECIAL SKILLS

No special skills are required.

Applicants with acting, theater, dance, sports, band, cheerleading, or other school related experience are welcome to mention those skills when submitting.
 

WARDROBE

Selected performers should be prepared to provide ordinary, age-appropriate high school clothing unless otherwise instructed by the wardrobe department.

Suggested wardrobe includes jeans, casual shirts, hoodies, sweaters, sneakers, backpacks, notebooks, and other everyday school items.

Please avoid clothing displaying large brand logos, copyrighted characters, or inappropriate wording unless approved by production.

ABOUT CELL BOY

Cell Boy is a live-action family science-fiction adventure centered on Brad Carter, a teenager whose ordinary life changes when his damaged cell phone becomes connected to Zee, a mysterious alien being, and a hidden world of extraordinary Guardians.

While Brad faces the everyday challenges of school, friendship, and bullying, he becomes caught between forces searching for Zee and the Guardians determined to protect him.

At its heart, Cell Boy is a story about courage, compassion, friendship, and discovering that being different can become your greatest strength.

IMPORTANT FOR MINORS: Applicants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parent/guardian information and any required production paperwork will be requested before participation.
